A very warm welcome to Rowan Class

This year, Rowan class is made up of two year groups; Year 5 and Year 6.

The class is taught by Mrs Blake, and is supported by Miss Harris.

In KS2, we have the opportunity to explore and learn about a wide range of subjects. In the mornings, we cover Maths, Literacy and DERIC (our comprehension lessons), as well as key skills such as handwriting, spelling and arithmetic. Our afternoons are spent developing our science knowledge, investigating the world around us, both past and present, in Topic lessons, exploring Christianity and a range of other religions and world-views in our weekly RE lessons as well as experiencing French, computing, music and sport. 

Our Christian values underpin all of our learning. 

It is our goal to help the children in Rowan Class continue to develop into confident, independent learners, and we will do our best to help make this year a positive experience for everyone. We want every child to have the self-belief to ‘Reach Together with the Fruit of the Spirit’ and to feel the satisfaction of knowing that they have done their best by the time they leave us. Then they will be prepared for the next step of their lives.

This term, our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday.
